The Royal Holloway Computing Society is dedicated to providing a comfortable, harassment free environment for everyone.
This code of conduct applies to all those taking part in our community, our events, and our online channels of communications, not limited to: Our workshops, socials, meetups, trips, hackathons, society-run chats (like those set up for trips), and our Discord server.
Members, non-members, committee, guests, and anyone else taking part in society-organised happenings are subject to this policy.
The following behaviours are considered harassment are are unacceptable within our community.
If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please notify the committee as soon as you can.

Anyone taking part in compsoc-run events are expected to abide by local laws regarding drugs, weapons and conduct.
Weapons and illegal drugs are prohibited a
‘Weapons’ include items used for the purpose of causing injury or harm to others, including those used for hunting or display.
Unacceptable behavior from any community member, including sponsors and those with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
If a community member engages in unacceptable behavior, the community organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the community without warning (and without refund in the case of a paid event).
We expect all community participants (contributors, paid or otherwise; sponsors; and other guests) to abide by this Code of Conduct in all community venues–online and in-person–as well as in all society-run communications channels (such as those organised for trips, or our discord)
This code of conduct and its related procedures also applies to unacceptable behavior occuring outside the scope of community activities when such behavior has the potential to adversely affect the safety and well-being of community members.
